Everyone makes mistakes and deserves a second chance. For example in the story "The Quality Of Mercy" the merchant son made a mistake and deserves a second chance. The merchant son deserve mercy because he didnt plan to spend the money the way he did. I believe he meant to spent the money wisely, and when he borrowed money from his fathers close friend he didnt know what he was doing. Anybody would take money if they dont have money and to get money it is an easy access so the merchat son wasnt really thinking. the merchant son deserve mercy in this case.
Everyone makes mistakes and should deserve some type of justice. In the "Quality of mercy" a young boy inherits all off his dads money who dies. The boy soon spends all of his fathers money and starts to beg.He then makes a deal with a merchant. The merchant gave him money and if the young boy doesn't pay him back. According to thier agreement the merchant gets to take one kilogram of flesh from the little boy.Well the little boy did not pay him back. Even though he didn't fall through the contract he should still get mercy. The boy should work for the merchant until he pays back the money he owes.
Don't take nothing if you can't pay it back. In the quality, a merchant son borrowed money from the merchant rival and need to pay him back but he didnt and went to court. the princess saw him sad and dess as a lawyer to help. Cause the son was going to get cut. but he got mercy and they mad a but punishment. I think he should of got cut because he knew the dael and should of kept his vow. I think he should of got punishment and got cut.
Everyone need mercy sometime in here life. I think the merchant son needs mercy bacause everyone gets mercy sometime in there life. For example if you was driving 85 miles on a high way and got pulled over the officer would just give you a ticket instead of locking you up thats mercy. Besides the merchant's son was untrain so he did not know how to make cash, also he had no other choice but to go live with his fathers freind to survive. i would of did the same thing if i had no other place to live.
Mercy and punishment are two different things. Punishment is smething you deserve for an action you performed. Mercy is a gift that is given to you to take the place of punishment. In the folk tale "Quality of Mercy" the merchant's son got that gift of mercy; but is that what he really deserved? The son deserved that gift of mercy because he tryed to make the money though nothing would work for him. He knew he was wrong he sould have had the money, but he going to get killed because of one little mistake. Everybody deserves a second chance the merchant's son got his second chance. He got that second chance by the way of mercy
Everyone is given what they deserve. For instance, when i do something wrong yet no one finds out what i did, i still end up getting what i deserve. In the folktale "The Quality Of Mercy" a merchant's son is under an oath and is about to get a punishment for trying to survive the only way he could. The punishment he may recieve for borrowing money and not returning it isn't what he deserves because he really hasn't commited any crime. The merchant's son deserves mercy. Instead of getting a fatal punishment he should have to be put to labor for the person he borrowed money from. In whcich would be fair for the life of the son and pay back to the person he borrowed money from.
Everyone deserves a second chance to improve. when you are given something you should take it into concenteration. The gift that's given to you is the treasure of somebody else. If you mess that up than there's no turning back. For example. when the merchant's son had to make a deal with his father's old rival he couldn't turn back. He couldn't pay him back, so he went to court. when he went to court he should have gotten mercy because he deserved to get a second chance to pay the merchant back. Mercy or punishment is hard to decide when someone deserves second chance. the merchants son needed this mercy to figure out his strategies to pay back the loan he borrowed.
Sometimes, people are giving mercy when they really deserve punishment. Other times, people are giving punishment when they really deserve mercy. When this happens, they are giving something that they do not deserve. In the story, "The Quality of Mercy" the main character, the son of a merchant, recieved punishment, but I believe he should've recieved mercy. The main character just lost his dad and he wasted all of his money and eventually became poor. When he became poor he was lent some money from one of his dads rival and he signed a contract that stated that he would pay him back his money by a certain amount of time. Before he signed the contract, he knew that if he didn't have the money he would get a piece of flesh removed from his body. When that time came, he didn't have the money.
"We will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters andrighteousness like a mighty stream."This famous quote was said by the great Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. himself because he believed in getting results and getting justice. Justice is not only a word that is solved in court, but it is show in any type of form by making something right. It can be showed anywhere on accontof it involves deciding apon punishment ofr mercy? Which leads to stories like "Quality of Mercy" and other stories as well. Many events occur that involve justice.
